New Feature: Create Garments from Fabric Swatches

New feature: generate garment samples from fabric swatch images — lookbooks, product cuts, and more

Transform your fashion imagery with AI

Generate on-model images from product photos.

What’s New

Starting March 8, 2026, LaonGEN supports a new input type: fabric swatch images.

Upload a photo of your fabric — a pattern, a texture, a print —
and LaonGEN generates finished garment samples using that exact material.
The AI applies the swatch to realistic clothing silhouettes,
so you can see how a fabric looks as an actual product before a single stitch is made.

The first release supports blouses, blazers, and dresses.
More garment types are on the way.

Why It Matters

Most fabric decisions happen early — at the swatch stage,
long before samples are cut and sewn.
But until now, visualizing how a fabric would actually look as a finished garment meant waiting for physical samples or rough sketches.

This feature shortens that gap.

  • See it before you sew it. Upload a swatch and get realistic garment visuals the same day — no sample production required.
  • One fabric, many applications. A single swatch can generate multiple garment types, lookbook images, and product cuts in one session.
  • Works for textile designers and brands alike. Whether you are selling fabric or sourcing it, you can show clients and buyers what the material looks like dressed.

How It Works

The workflow is the same as any LaonGEN generation —
the difference is what you upload.

  1. Upload your fabric swatch image. Any photo works: a flat lay of the fabric, a close-up of the pattern, or a product image of the material.
  2. Select a garment type. Choose the clothing item you want to generate — blouse, blazer, dress, or others as they become available.
  3. Generate. LaonGEN applies the fabric to the garment silhouette and returns finished visuals.
  4. Extend to lookbook or product cut. Use the generated garment image as a starting point for on-model lookbook shots or flat-lay product cuts — all within the same session.

No physical sample needed. No waiting for a prototype.
